Bihariji.  

Thakur-ji is the most well-known Krishna idol in Vrindavan. Due to the idol’s powerful eyes are hidden from view behind a curtain that is opened and closed periodically.  

Govinda Dev Mandir.  

During Aurangzeb’s reign of terror, four stories were lopped off the squat, bulky Temple built by Raja Sawai Man Singh of Jaipur in 1590. Currently, it’s just infested with monkeys. 

“Naam Yog Sadhna Mandir” is also known as Jaigurudeo Temple. With white marble, it is similar to the Tajmahal. Unfortunately, if you are a non-vegetarian, you cannot donate to this Temple.

As ISKCON Temple, it is better known. Among Vrindavan’s temples, it is well equipped to handle foreign pilgrims and is a major draw for Hare Krishna (ISKCON) pilgrims. There is a free breakfast and lunch buffet. Restaurant of great quality. On the grounds of the Temple, there is a comfortable guesthouse.   

By the Yamuna, at Kesi Ghat.  

Legend has it that Krishna bathed here after killing Kesi and celebrating his victory. Here, every evening, the Yamuna is offered aarti (prayer lamps). 

Prem Mandir, Raman Reti.  

Construction of the Temple began in 2012. The light shows and designs are fantastic. On winter days, the light show closes at 7:30 PM, and on summer days, it closes at 8 PM.   

Seva Kunj houses Radharaman Mandir, where the Deity manifested from a Shalagrama Shila (sacred stone). 

Radhavallabh Mandir.  

In this very well-known ancient Temple of Vrindavan, founded by Shri Hith Harivansh Mahaprabhu, Sri Radhavallabh Lal’s idol resembles Sri Radha and Sri Krishna being embodied in it together: “One soul and two bodies.”   

Rangji Mandir.  

An intricate seven-story gateway guards the entrance to the largest Temple in Vrindavan, built in 1851 in a South Indian style. A 50-ft wooden chariot is displayed inside, and a gold-plated pillar known as Dhwaja Stambha stands in the inner courtyard.   

A seva kund. There is countless tulsi (holy basil) trees in this garden, and at night, gopis dance for Krishna as Krishna and Radha spend the night locked in the Moti Mahal.
